Primarily, the safety protrudes over the "stepped" pin that is mentioned in the videos that show how to install a flat trigger. I suggest you watch the videos that are available for the non-safety version and you will see there isn't any difference in the procedure. I would do a few things ti try to reset it.. dry fire a few times, insert a mag, slide lock it, drop the mag out, rack a few times, one last dry fire trigger pull, then slide lock and try again.
